Good friday

Good Friday is a multi-church, non-profit event that gathers churches from all over Austin every year on Good Friday for a citywide concert and fundraiser for local charities. I took over the creative direction in 2014, beginning with logo redesign, brand overhaul (including web, app, and print). Over the past 5 years, I have overseen all creative aspects of the event.

LifeAustin Downtown is a local church that began in 2016. They secured an amazing location in Downtown Austin at the 310 Austin City Limits venue. I was in charge of creative direction and branding since its inception. Once we finalized the logo, colors, and branding assets. We worked closely with Portable Church to create engaging signage and atmospheric designs to bring in churchgoers from the downtown area. LifeAustin Downtown celebrates its 4th anniversary next year.

Space Settlement Symposium

Texas State University’s Department of Philosophy hosts an annual Space Settlement Symposium. The purpose of these conversations is to encourage our students and community to support the progression of humankind toward colonization of outer space. Whether one seeks employment directly associated with NASA or private space exploration enterprises, or merely votes for candidates and policy encouraging such endeavors, everyone has an impact upon the success of space settlement.

The symposium committee reached out to me needing an upgrade for future events. I worked with their team to develop new branding, event collaterals, motion video intros, and video production.

SHRUB DRINKS

Shrub Drinks are simple. Just fresh fruit at its prime, pure cane sugar and chef selected vinegar blended to be a perfect flavor showcase. In 2012 I was contacted by Cynthia Guido and Cathy Terasovic (the two powerhouses behind Shrub Drinks) about branding and packaging for their new cocktail mixer. They regaled me with the history of these fascinating libations and I was hooked. Our goal with this brand was to create something with an old world charm for the modern cocktail. They also needed a package design that was flexible and met the requirements for their operation size and expected growth. From there we progressed to a web presence and online web store for international sales.

Rock the red kettle

Rock the Red Kettle ATX is an annual fundraiser benefiting The Salvation Army Austin’s services for women and children. In 2017, following Hurricane Harvey, they rallied to help fellow Texans in need and diverted precious resources to provide immediate and long-term disaster relief in the wake of the storm. I joined the design team in 2017 as well to drive the design and creative vision for that year’s Red Kettle event, creating everything from branded invites, to sponsor packets and auction booklets. The event went on to raise over $460,000 in aid and relief for Hurricane Harvey victims.
